Four charged in $5M grow-op bust

London police say four people are facing charges after officers seized over 5,000 marijuana plants from a growing operation in Hyde Park.

Officers raided a commercial property at 1490 North Routledge Park on Monday and seized a total of 5,332 pot plants at various stages of growth. Police put the value of the plants at over $5,000,0000.

Jian Mei Chen, 34, of London, 57-year-old Xiangchun Lin of Markham, 53–year-old Yingshu Chen of Scarborough, and 21-year-old Hai Qing of Toronto are charged under the Cannabis Act with Cultivating Not In a Dwelling House.

They are all to appear in court in April.
