TVDSB confirms COVID-19 cases at 11 schools

The number of active COVID-19 cases at Thames Valley schools continues to rise.

On Wednesday, the Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) was notified of cases at 11 London area schools.

Single cases were confirmed at East Elgin Secondary School, Eva Circe Cote French Immersion Public School, Glen Cairn Public School, June Rose Callwood Public School, Kettle Creek Public School, Mitchell Hepburn Public School, Parkside Collegiate Institute, and Summer’s Corners Public School.

Additionally, two cases were identified at Montcalm Secondary School and Westfield Public School.

Meanwhile, Davenport Public School recorded another case following the outbreak declared on Tuesday.

All schools are currently closed for the winter break.

Families and staff at all of the schools have been notified and the Middlesex-London Health Unit and Southwestern Public Health are working to identify close contacts of the infected individuals. Only those who are contacted directly by health officials will be advised to seek testing and quarantine for 14 days.
