COVID-19 cases confirmed at two more TVDSB schools

Two cases of COVID-19 have been identified at Thames Valley district schools on Saturday.

The Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) announced on Saturday that a positive case of COVID-19 has been confirmed at Princess Anne French Immersion Public School, and Huron Park Secondary School in Woodstock. Both schools will remain open and busses will continue to operate next week.

The school board said it has informed all staff, parents, and guardians within the school community of the positive case. The Middlesex London Health Unit and Southwestern Public Healh is also conducting contact tracing to identify those who have come into close contact with the infected individual.

“If you are not contacted by the health unit, your child is not considered to be at risk. The health unit will only contact those staff and students who have been identified as a close contact, and will advise them to stay home from school and quarantine for a period of 14 days,” the Thames Valley board said in a news release.

There are currently 32 active COVID-19 cases in school communities within the Thames Valley district. A full list of confirmed cases can be found here.
