COVID-19 case confirmed at London high school

Another case of COVID-19 is being reported at a London school.

The London District Catholic School Board confirmed the case at  Mother Teresa Catholic Secondary School.

According to a statement on the school board's website, all parents, guardians and staff within the school community have been notified of the case. The school will remain open and buses will continue o operate.

"The Middlesex-London Health Unit is currently investigating the case and is in the process of identifying the individual’s close contacts," read the statement. "The Middlesex-London Health Unit will provide advice and support to close contacts in navigating this situation."

Health unit officials will only be contacting those who have been identified as a close contact. Close contacts are being advised to stay home and quarantine.

Staff at Mother Teresa Catholic Secondary School will be working with those who have to quarantine to ensure learning continues.

This marks the second case of COVID-19 that has been confirmed at the school. A case was previously confirmed on October 25. 

So far, 41 cases have been reported within school and child care settings in London-Middlsex
