London named as host for the Canadian Country Music Association Awards

The twang of Canadian country music is headed back to London.

The Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) announced on Friday that the city of London will host next year’s CCMA Awards on September 12, 2021. The event, presented by TD, will be broadcast live from Budweiser Gardens.

Next year will mark the first time in five years the awards event has been held in London.

The CCMA Awards will end a week of events during County Music Week between September 9-12, 2021, which will include Songwriters’ Series, SiriusXM Top of the Country Showcase, Fan Village, CCMA Legends Show, the 2021 CCMA Awards Red Carpet and the 2021 CCMA Awards.

Tickets for all 2021 events will be made available for purchase in the coming months, organizers said.

This year’s CCMA Awards will be filmed at Burl’s Creek Event Grounds in Ontario and Nashville, Tennessee, and it will air this Sunday on Global at 9 p.m.
