St. Thomas police are looking for an individual who flooded their 911 call centre with calls on Sunday.
The person, who refused to identify themselves or say whether there was an emergency, used a 'voice over internet' phone service to call 911 more than 150 times. The volume of calls overwhelmed dispatchers, police said.
Efforts to trace the repeated calls to the emergency line were unsuccessful.
The incident is now being investigated by the police digital forensic unit.
