Oxford County provincial police responded to a fatal, single-vehicle crash on the 401 in Ingersoll on Sunday.
Police and emergency crews were called to the eastbound side of Highway 401 at Culloden Road shortly before 6 p.m. As a result of the incident, the OPP temporarily closed the eastbound ramp while they investigated the scene.
A preliminary investigation determined that a sedan left the road and struck the overpass abutment. The driver, and only occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No other details, including the identity of the deceased have been released.
