Four additional COVID-19 cases in London-area

After several days of higher than normal COVID-19 cases, London-Middlesex only reported four new cases of the virus on Saturday.

The latest cases bring the regional case count to 793.

On Friday, 13 cases were reported, with 12 cases reported on Thursday.

One additional recovery was also reported on Saturday. So far, 680 individuals in the London-area have recovered from the virus. Fifty-Seven people have passed away from COVID-19 in the region, a number that has not changed for three months.

Meanwhile, Southwestern Public Health, the health unit covering St. Thomas, Woodstock and Elgin and Oxford counties, reported zero new cases on Saturday with the number remaining at 263.

Across the province, 407 additional cases were reported on Saturday. The recent surge in cases in Ontario prompted Premier Doug Ford to limit the number of people allowed at social gatherings to 10 for outdoor events and 25 for indoor.
