London venues team up for live drive-in concert

A trio of London venues has joined forces to bring award-winning Canadian Country music singer Brett Kissel to the city for one of the few live concerts being held this year.

Kissel will headline a special physically distanced drive-in show at the Western Fair District on September 26 at 9:30 p.m.

In addition to the Western Fair, the live music event is being presented by the London Music Hall and Budweiser Gardens.

“I am beyond thrilled to come to London," said Kissel, who launched the drive-in concert tour in mid-June, selling out many of the nearly two dozen performances across Canada. "London holds some of the best country music fans in Canada, and some of my greatest career memories have been made with the fans there that have come out to the shows – I can’t think of a better place to bring my drive-in show to party."

Kissel won the Juno Award for Country Album of the Year in 2019, the year London hosted the Canadian music awards show. Prior to that, the Alberta native was in town for the Canadian Country Music Association Awards in 2016 where he took home the prize for male artist of the year, the fan’s choice award, and the interactive artist of the year award.

Tickets for the drive-in show go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at www.budweisergardens.com.
