Members of the London Police Service were notified about something disturbing found in a wooded area in the city's west end on Monday afternoon.
Police say they received a call around noon regarding a rope that was tied into a noose in the Warbler Woods located near Oxford Street West and Commissioners Road West. People on social media believe the incident was a symbol targeted against BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) communities.

The police service says they are actively investigating the matter, after initially dismissing it, and believe there is no risk to public safety at this time.
