Woman sexually assaulted on city bus

Police are hoping the public can help them identify a suspect in the sexual assault of a woman on a London Transit bus last month.

The woman was riding the bus around 9 p.m. on July 31 when she was approached by a man. The man proceeded to sexually assault the woman before exiting the bus in the area of Hamilton Road and Rectory Street.

The woman, who was not physically hurt, called police.

On Friday, they released a surveillance image of a suspect in the case.

The man is described as Black, 18 to 25 years of age, medium build, with short black hair and clean-shaven. He was wearing a green camouflage t-shirt, light blue jeans with rips, black sneakers and a black watch on his left wrist

Anyone who can identify the suspect or who has information related to this incident is asked to call police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
