Three new London-area COVID-19 cases

There were a handful of additional COVID-19 cases in London-Middlesex on Monday.

The local health unit reported three new cases in the region. The case count is now at 679.

Of the total number of cases, 37 per cent were related to an outbreak, 21 per cent related to close contact and nine per cent were travel-related. Meanwhile, 28 per cent of the cases had no known link and three per cent are undetermined.

Once again, there were no fatalities related to the virus reported on Monday, with the number remaining at 57.

Since the pandemic began, 588 people have recovered from the virus in London-Middlesex.

Provincially, health officials reported a 0.3 per cent increase in the number of cases for the third day in a row. There have been 39,449 COVID-19 cases in Ontario so far, with 2,778 and 35,359 recoveries.
