Environment Canada issued a special weather statement Tuesday evening forecasting strong thunderstorms for Windsor-Essex, Chatham-Kent, Sarnia-Lambton, and London, along with Middlesex, Elgin and Norfolk counties.
Strong winds are anticipated.
The rain is expected to start around dawn on Wednesday.
The weather agency said severe thunderstorm watches and warnings may be issued as the storm approaches.
