Arrest made in downtown convenience store robbery

Police have arrested one person in connection with a robbery at a downtown London convenience store.

The London Police Service said on Thursday shortly before 10:20 a.m., a man entered the Circle K at 272 Dundas St. and robbed the store of an unspecified number of lottery tickets.  The man then ran from the store heading west.

It is unknown if a weapon was used during the robbery, but no one was injured.

Officers were able to identify a suspect, who was arrested in the area of Dundas Street and Highbury Avenue at around 11 a.m.  The 26-year-old man remains in police custody but police have not released any information about possible charges he may be facing.

Police said an investigation is ongoing.
