Police ask for public assistance in gun fire incident

London police are asking the public for help after they received a report of gun fire outside of the downtown core.

Police say they received the report just after 7 a.m. on Saturday in the area of Talbot St. and Oxford St.

Officers attended the area and determined that a residence had been targeted. No injuries have been reported as a result of the incident.

The London Police Major Crime Section is investigating the incident and has asked for anyone with information to contact city police at 519-661-5670, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
