More than $16K worth of cocaine seized

Two people are facing drug trafficking charges after a police search of a pair of London homes and a vehicle turned up more than $16,000 worth of crack cocaine.

The London police guns and drugs section raided a home on Raleigh Crescent and another residence on Gammage Street on Friday. A vehicle was also searched as part of the same investigation. Officers found 160 grams of crack cocaine, 1.7 grams of cocaine, three propoxyphene pills, nine percocet pills, five digital scales, three cell phones, and 33 rounds of .38 caliber ammunition. Approximately $9,000 in cash was also seized.

No weapons were found during the searches.

A 27-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, both from London, are charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.

The man is additionally charged with trafficking in a Schedule I substance. He is scheduled to appear in court in relation to the charges on June 6.

The woman has a July 10 court date.
