Police looking for clothing store robbery suspect

London police are asking for the public's help as they continue searching for a woman accused of robbing a Richmond Row clothing store.

According to police, a woman knocked on the locked door of a clothing store at 620 Richmond St. on the afternoon of Friday, March 27. Thinking the woman needed help, the owner of the store unlocked the door and the woman forced her way inside. Police said she then grabbed some clothing and tried to hide it in her purse.

"The owner intervened and asked for the property to be returned, at which time she was assaulted by the female suspect," police said. "A co-worker attempted to provide assistance, but she too was assaulted by the unidentified woman."

Both the owner and the employee suffered minor injuries.

Police said they have identified a suspect.
