A man is facing charges after a woman was sexually assaulted in downtown London.
According to London police, a 25-year-old woman was walking in the area of Dundas Street and Richmond Street around noon on Thursday, April 2 when a man tried to wave her over from across the street. The woman ignored the man and kept walking. He then approached her and sexually assaulted her. The victim managed to pull away and continued walking east down Dundas Street.
Police said the man followed her and sexually assaulted her a second time, before she was able to get away and run to her workplace.
Officers searched the area and arrested a suspect after he got off a bus in the east end of the city.
Olufolajimi James Fadebi, 27, of London, is charged with sexual assault.
He was remanded into custody during a court appearance Friday and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
