A family in Simcoe is likely reeling after someone broke into their home and stole their pet dog.
The Ontario Provincial Police said on Friday sometime between 12:10 a.m. and 12:50 a.m., an unknown number of thieves broke into the home on Queen Street South, and took the family's dog.
The pet is described as a Bullmastiff cross that is tan in colour and has an identifying tattoo located on its left ear.
Police said officers are currently reviewing security surveillance footage in an attempt to identify one or more suspects.
