Man commits indecent act in public park

Police are looking for a suspect after a man was spotted masturbating at a public park in Woodstock.

The Woodstock Police Service said the incident took place at Roth Park on Monday at around 5:30 p.m.

Police said the man was reportedly standing in the trees about 100 feet from the walking trail when he was seen committing the indecent act while looking at a park-goer.  The target of the man’s sexual act attempted to take a picture of the man, who immediately noticed and ran off, heading east.

The suspect is described as a white, heavy-set male, around 40 years old, and 5’7″ to 5’8″ tall. He was last seen wearing light blue jeans, a grey rain jacket and a black baseball cap.
