Police in Woodstock are looking for a suspect after a driver crashed a pickup truck into two police cruisers and escaped from officers.

A concerned citizen called Woodstock police on Monday at around 3:48 p.m. while he followed behind the stolen 2016 black Dodge Ram pickup truck.  The caller followed the vehicle to the Westmount Motel area on Beachville Road, and police swarmed the area to attempt to block the pickup from leaving.

However, the driver reversed the truck striking two police cruisers before making it onto the road where the truck struck another pickup truck that was travelling east on Beachville Road.

The driver of the stolen pickup truck fled the scene and was able to get away from police. The vehicle was last seen heading west toward the village of Beachville.

A female driver was taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Damage to the three vehicles is estimated at around $20,000.
