Labatt Breweries has announced it will be switching gears from brewing beer to making hand sanitizer.
The brewery made the announcement on Twitter Sunday afternoon pledging to distribute 50,000 bottles of sanitizer to support Food Banks Canada and other front line workers in the restaurant and bar industry.
Labatt said it is concerned about the health and safety of workers which is why it is mobilizing workers to make hand sanitizer.
The decision follows the suspension of bottle returns to distribution centres.
