LTC suspending some routes

A day after announcing that drivers would not be collecting fares for the next few weeks, the London Transit Commission said it is suspending some routes.

Beginning Sunday, March 22, routes 90, 91, 92, 94, 102, 104, and 106 will not be operating. The suspensions will be in place until further notice.

While not being suspended, some routes will be running on a reduced schedule.

On Sundays, route 6 and route 9 will operate on a 70-minute frequency schedule.

Route 19 will see its frequency shift from every 20 minutes to every 40 minutes from Monday to Saturday. Sunday service will remain unchanged.

Route 25 will see reduced frequency and no service after 9 p.m. from Monday to Friday. Weekend service will be between 9 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Route 27 will see reduced afternoon and evening frequency and no service after 9 p.m. from Monday to Saturday. Sunday service will be between 8:30 a.m. and 8:20 p.m.

Route 31 will have no service after 6 p.m. on weekdays.

Route 33 will operate on a 40-minute frequency schedule all day from Monday to Friday.

Specialized transit continues to operate with service levels being matched to demand.

"We encourage our riders to utilize realtime.londontransit.ca/#/app/nextdepartures for up-to-date information about their routes," the LTC said in a statement released Friday. "Note that Google Maps will not be reflecting accurate times on these affected routes."
