Knights top Rangers to win fourth straight game

The London Knights extended their win streak to four after defeating the Kitchener Rangers 6-2 on Tuesday.

The first period belonged to the Knights with Matvey Guskov, Luke Evangelista and Ryan Merkley all scoring back-to-back goals for a 3-0 lead heading into the second.

The Rangers made it on the board just over halfway into the second frame, but Connor McMichael scored for London 14:01 into the period. Jonathan Gruden added another goal 10 seconds later to extend London's lead to 5-1.

The Rangers scored their second goal of the night 9:57 into the third, but Jason Willms capped off the win for London with a goal in the final three minutes of the game.

Knights goaltender Brett Brochu made 21 saves out of 19 shots on net.

The Knights are back at home on Friday to take on the Sarnia Sting at 7:30 p.m.
