Lightning fall to Titans 113-110

The London Lightning suffered a narrow 113-110 loss to the KW Titans in overtime on Thursday.

The Titans took a big 26-9 lead over London by the end of the first quarter and they retained a 10-point lead over the Lightning with the score sitting at 47-37 as the game entered halftime. The Lightning continued to bridge the gap in the third but the Titans were still ahead 75-68 heading into the final frame.

London took a one-point lead with a little over six minutes left in the game and kept the game neck and neck until the final five seconds when the Titans tied things up at 98-98 to force overtime.

London jumped ahead for the advantage early in OT and held onto their lead until the final 34 seconds when the Titans tied it again. The Titans made one final three-pointer at the buzzer to end the game with the win.

Xavier Moon led London with a game-high 37 points and seven assists, while Terry Thomas put up 19 points and had five rebounds. AJ Gaines added another 14 points and nine rebounds.

The Lightning will return home to face the Titans again on Saturday. Tip-off is at 7 p.m.
