London Lightning win sixth straight

The London Lightning brought their win streak to six after defeating the Island Storm 131-122 on Thursday.

The Lightning took a five-point lead by the end of the first quarter and extended their advantage to 75-62 by halftime.  London remained ahead throughout the third and again held a 13 point lead as the game entered the final frame. The Storm were able to regain some ground in the fourth, but the Lightning kept them at bay to remain in the lead for a win with a nine-point advantage.

Garrett Williamson scored a game-high 30 points for London, while Omar Strong added 28 points and three rebounds. Randy Phillips also put up 20 points and had seven rebounds.

The Lightning will hit the road on Tuesday to face to the Halifax Hurricanes at 6 p.m.
