Lightning outplay Express 99-91

The London Lightning fought hard to defeat the Windsor Express  99-91 on Saturday.

The Lightning were first to lead with a four-point advantage over the Express with less than five minutes left in the quarter and remained in the lead with a score of 26-21. The Lightning struggled to keep their lead as the Express took over with a score of 51-45 with minutes left in the quarter. The Express maintained their lead into halftime with a score of 51-45. The Lightning trailed by seven points in the third quarter and entered the fourth quarter 75-69. With less than seven minutes left in the game, the Lightning managed to catch up to the Express, tying up the game at 84-84. The Lightning proved their prowess by gaining the lead to end the game 99-91.

Xavier Moon led the Lightning with 22 points and seven rebounds. Garrett Williamson added 20 points and 13 rebounds. AJ Gaines put up 18 points and nine rebounds.

Chris Jones led Windsor with 18 points and two rebounds. Shaquille Keith added 18 points and five rebounds. Kemy Osse put up 12 points and five rebounds.

The Lightning will play the Island Storm on Thursday at 7 p.m. The Express will play against the KW Titans on Thursday at 7 p.m.
