Police searching for suspect following vandalism of vehicle

Norfolk County OPP is searching for a suspect after a vehicle was vandalized.

OPP investigated a mischief report at a Metcalfe Street South, Simcoe, address on Wednesday.

Police determined that in the early morning hours, an unknown person appeared at the address and threw an egg at a parked vehicle.

A suspect was captured on video surveillance and was described to police as wearing a blue coloured jacket with the hood up covering their face.

Police later determined that this was the seventh time that the victim's vehicle had been vandalized. It was, however, the first time it was reported to police.

The OPP is reminding residents that if they see anything suspicious to please contact the police immediately. If anyone is found committing acts of mischief, appropriate charges will be laid.

Norfolk County OPP is continuing to investigate and are looking to the public for help with this investigation. If anyone has any information they are being asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
