UPDATE: Snow squall warning ended

Environment Canada has ended a snow squall warning for London and eastern Middlesex County.

The weather agency issued the warning on Tuesday ahead of flurries and squalls that had developed over Lake Huron are moving into the London area.

"Flurries and local snow squalls continue and are expected to persist into Wednesday morning," Environment Canada said in the weather advisory. "Local snowfall amounts of five to 15 centimetres are possible [Tuesday] and amounts of near 15 centimetres are possible tonight into Wednesday morning. Local blowing snow reducing visibilities to near zero will also be a concern."

Local snow squalls were forecasted to taper off when the winds shift to southwest Wednesday afternoon.

For those who don't like snow, take heart. The forecast for next week is currently showing sunshine and daily high temperatures that are above freezing.
