Knights fall 5-4 to the Attack in OT

The London Knights dropped a 5-4 overtime decision to the Owen Sound Attack in OHL action on Friday.

The Knights were off to a rough start with the Attack scoring three back-to-back goals in the first period to hold a 3-0 lead heading into the second.

Alec Regula scored 6:31 into the second frame to put London on the board but Owen Sound answered with one of their own three minutes after. The Knights found their momentum in the second half of the period with Cole Tymkin, Jonathan Gruden and Matvey Guskov all scoring to the tie the game.

After a scoreless third, the game was forced into OT where the Attack scored the game-winner after 58 seconds.

Despite the loss, the Knights outshot Owen Sound 51-26.

The Knights are in Saginaw on Saturday to take on the Spirit at 7:05 p.m.
