OPP investigating suspicious house fire

Investigators say a house fire in Ingersoll is suspicious.

Ontario Provincial Police say it happened shortly before 8 p.m. Wednesday at a home on King Street. The Ingersoll Fire Department attended the fire, which was confined to a single unit and put out quickly.

Few additional details have been released, but the Ontario Fire Marshal's Office has sent an investigator to examine the scene. OPP Constable Patti Cote said there are no suspects at this time and no threat to public safety.
