Charges laid in sports bar stabbings

A London man is now facing charges after three men were stabbed at an east-end sports bar on the weekend.

Emergency crews were called to the Players Sports Hub Bar and Grill on Dundas Street at Calgary street around 1:45 a.m. Sunday. Whey they arrived, they found three men suffering from stab wounds. The victims were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Two men had taken off from the scene before police arrived. The K9 unit was brought in to search the area and a suspect was arrested at a nearby home.

John Jordan Brown, 24, of London is charged with three counts each of aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

Police are still looking for a second suspect. He is described as a bald man with tanned skin who was wearing a jersey style t-shirt, khaki shorts, long black socks, and black running shoes with white soles.

Anyone with information is asked to call London police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
