Three arrested, $39K in drugs seized in Woodstock

A call about a suspicious person in Woodstock ended with three people arrested and $39,000 in drugs, including fentanyl, seized.

Woodstock police responded to a call about a suspicious man and a stolen vehicle in the area of Harford Street on Thursday.

A 44-year-old Ingersoll man and a 28-year-old London woman were arrested at the scene. The canine unit was brought in to help track down a 20-year-old Toronto man who took off when police arrived.

The investigation by the police criminal intelligence and drug enforcement unit and criminal investigations branch turned up an undisclosed quantity of cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl. The drugs are valued at approximately $39,000.

Roughly $15,000 in stolen property was also recovered by police.

The investigation is ongoing.
