More charged in damaging rental house party

Two more people have been charged following a high school graduation after-party that caused $80,000 damage to a London short-term rental home.

An 18-year-old man and a teenage boy are now charged with one count each of mischief over $5,000 in relation to the June 27 party, London police said Wednesday.

The latest charges bring the total number of people charged to nine, all of whom are 18-years-old or younger.

The large party at a home in the area of Grand Avenue and Ridout Street attracted the attention of police after several calls were made to 911. When officers arrived on scene they found dozens of young people and significant damage to the home.

The homeowners were unaware that a party was being held at the residence and believed they were renting to a young couple from out of town, police said.

Following a two month investigation by police secondary school resource officers, charges were announced Tuesday against four men and one woman and two teen boys.
