Woodstock police recovered $100,000 worth of stolen property in a theft investigation that ended with charges being laid against a man and a woman.
Police launched the investigation following a rapid increase in property crimes and construction site thefts in May.
It led officers from both the Woodstock Police Service and the OPP to search two properties in the city on Thursday. Numerous stolen items and a firearm were found.
A 27-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man, both from Woodstock, are charged with three counts each of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
The investigation is continuing and members of the public will be given a chance to reclaim their stolen property at a later date.
