Home invasion suspects arrested in Woodstock

Two men and a woman were arrested in a Woodstock hotel following a home invasion that saw a Stratford man assaulted, tied up, and robbed.

The man had invited two other men into his downtown Stratford home around 12:30 a.m. on Friday, only to have them attack him and take off with some of his belongings.

The men made their getaway in a vehicle being driven by a woman, according to Stratford police, who were notified of the incident shortly after.

Using technology installed on some of the stolen goods, police were able to track the suspects to the Drumbo area and then to a Woodstock hotel.

Officers arrested the trio inside one of the rooms.

A 40-year-old man, a 29-year-old man, and a 35-year-old woman, all from Stratford, have been charged with robbery, forcible confinement, theft, possession of stolen property, and assault with a weapon.

The 35-year-old is additionally charged with drug possession after police found suspected fentanyl and hydromorph during the arrest.
