Man arrested after allegedly assaulting two women

A 20-year-old is facing several charges after allegedly threatening and assaulting two women in St. Thomas.

It happened Saturday night when police were on general patrol and came across a disturbance at a residence on Princess Avenue. Officers learned that a 21-year-old and a 19-year-old female had both been threatened and assaulted with a weapon.

As a result, a man from St. Thomas was arrested and faces threat charges as well as assault with weapon charges. The man was also on probation. After searching the residence, police seized the weapons involved in the assault.

The man is expected to make an appearance in court on Sunday.
