UPDATE: Woman wanted for multiple thefts arrested

A 37-year-old woman wanted for numerous thefts throughout the city of London has been taken into custody.

Allana Theresa Lebars of no fixed address was arrested on Wednesday at around 5:40 p.m. hours after police stated that they had issued a warrant for her arrest. She is charged with three counts of theft under $5,000, failure to comply with recognizance, and breach of probation. The charges stem from thefts at a Wellington Road South fitness centre on May 6.

A woman told staff at the gym she had left an item in the change room and was escorted to the area to retrieve it. The woman took off into a waiting vehicle when she was asked to sign her name to the gym's log book, which tracks individuals inside the building.

Shortly after, three gym clients told staff their lockers had been broken into and various items were stolen.

The latest charges against Lebars are in addition to 31 other offences she was previously wanted on. The charges relate to several other thefts and frauds in London, police said.

Lebars is expected to appear in a London court on Thursday in relation to the charges.
