UPDATE: London Police investigate East End shooting

London Police are investigating a shooting that happened on Trafalgar Street.

Officers were called to the area of Trafalgar Street and Admiral Drive at around 4:20 p.m. on Saturday.

According to police, the victim was operating his vehicle on Admiral Drive when he approached Trafalgar Street and stopped at the intersection. The driver of a white sedan pulled up next to the victim's car and fired a gun at him. The suspect then fled the scene westbound on Trafalgar Street at a high rate of speed.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are still searching for a suspect. They believe he was driving a Chevrolet Cruze with damage on the driver's side, a smashed out front passenger window and possible damage on the front bumper. Prior to the shooting, it was seen driving erratically at a high rate of speed near the area where the incident took place.
