Religious leader accused of sexual assault

An allegation of inappropriate touching has led to a charge against a London religious leader.

London police got a report about a sexual assault that happened at a church on King Edward Avenue on Monday. According to investigators, the female victim said she went to the church and spoke with a religious leader for some time. When she tried to leave, he allegedly touched her in an inappropriate way.

Toby Devasia, 33, of London is charged with one count of sexual assault. He is to appear in court on June 24.
