Knights weather the Storm 7-4 in Game 3

The London Knights defeated the Guelph Storm 7-4 in Game 3 of their semi-final playoff series on Monday.

The Knights were on the board first with Adam Boqvist scoring 5:05 into the first period, but the Storm were able to add one of their own just after the nine-minute mark. Liam Foudy and Kevin Hancock followed up by each scoring once to give London a 3-1 lead heading into the second.

Guelph kicked off the second with a goal early in the frame, however, William Lochead scored just after ten minutes to add another for London, The Storm continued to fight back by scoring again 13:01 into the second, but Evan Bouchard and Matvey Guskov each scored for London. Guelph scored in the final seconds of the period to trail the Knights 6-4 as the game entered the final frame.

The Knights kept the Storm at bay in the third and Bouchard scored his second goal of the night to cap off the win for London.

Knights goaltender Jordan Kooy made 29 saves out of 33 shots on net.

London now leads the best-of-seven playoffs series 3-0.

The Knights will look to sweep the Storm in Game 4 on Wednesday. The puck drops at 7 p.m. in Guelph.
