Knights edge Storm 3-2 in Game 1

The London Knights held on in the final minutes to beat the Guelph Storm 3-2 in Game 1 of their semi-final playoff series on Friday.

Liam Foudy kicked off the game for the Knights with a goal 13:49 into the first period, and Josh Nelson added another late in the frame to give London a 2-0 lead heading into the second. The Storm made it on the board with a goal early in the second period, but Kevin Hancock scored 10:18 into the frame to make it 3-1 for London.  Guelph scored one final goal halfway through the third, but the Knights held on to win with a single goal advantage.

London goaltender Jordan Kooy made 22 saves out of 24 shots on net.

The Knights are at home again on Sunday to take on the Storm in Game 2. The puck drops at 2 p.m.
