Express fall 121-119 to Lightning

The London Lightning handed the Windsor Express their seventh straight loss with a 121-119 victory on Friday.

The Express held a one-point advantage by the end of the first quarter and despite a back and forth second frame, Windsor held a 59-57 lead heading into halftime. The Lightning surpassed the Express in the third to take a 93-84 lead as the game entered the final quarter, and Windsor wasn't able to regain their lead before the final buzzer to lose with a two-point deficit.

Anthony "AJ" Gaines Jr. led London with 20 points and six rebounds, while Marcus Capers added another 19 points and seven rebounds. Garrett Williamson and Alex Johnson both put up 17 points each.

Chris Jones scored a game-high 32 points for Windsor and had nine assists. Juwan Howard Jr. had 29 points and four rebounds, while Tyrrel Tate and Ryan Anderson both put up 16 points.

The Express and the Lightning will play each other again on Sunday in their final regular season game. Tip-off is at 2 p.m. in London.
