UPDATE: Freezing rain in the forecast

Parts of southwestern Ontario may be in for another blast of winter weather.

Early Sunday morning, Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for almost all of southern Ontario with the forecast calling for a significant threat from mixed precipitation.

That special weather statement was later upgraded to a Freezing Rain Warning for Chatham-Kent and Windsor-Essex.

The weather agency says a low-pressure system coming in Tuesday may intensify into a winter storm. Snow and ice pellets are expected to arrive late Monday night. The snow will change into freezing rain throughout the day Tuesday and then back to snow Tuesday night.

They're warning drivers that the weather may make for tricky travelling situations.
