Lightning run away from Titans 134-108

Maurice Bolden scored 22 points in the London Lightning's 134-108 win over the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans at Budweiser Gardens Saturday night.

London got off to a slow start, but began climbing back, then pulling away from the Titans as the game went on. They built a sizable 62-48 lead at halftime, then continued to gain distance throughout the remainder of the contest.

Marvin Phillips added 20 points for the Lightning. Xavier Moon put in 15 more off the bench. Phillips also led in defence with seven boards.

Ashton Smith led all scorers with 28 points for the Titans. Flenard Whitfield was not far behind with 24 points, while Derek Hall and Ed Horton added 11 points apiece. Akeem Ellis led on defence with ten rebounds while scoring ten points for a double-double.

The Lightning return to action Sunday afternoon when they host the rival Windsor Express.
