UPDATE: Man hit with arrow dies

London police are investigating after a man died of injuries he suffered when he was hit by an arrow.

Emergency crews were called to a home on Arbour Glen Crescent, north of Kipps Lane just before 1 a.m. Tuesday. When they arrived, they found a man who had been hit by an arrow. He was rushed to hospital where he was to undergo emergency surgery, police said. Early Tuesday afternoon, police announced that the man had died in hospital.

So far, no arrests have been made.

"The risk to public safety is unknown at this time, and police want to remind the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity," police said in a statement.

The investigation is still in its early stages and there is no further word from police yet on the circumstances of the incident.
