Knights blown away by Storm 7-5

The London Knights dropped a 7-5 decision to the Guelph Storm on Tuesday.

The Storm were first on the board with a goal 11:04 into the game, but William Lochead tied things up with a goal for London with just over four minutes left in the first frame.

Guelph retook the lead in the first minutes of the second period, but Cole Tymkin and Adam Boqvist both scored late in the frame to give the Knights a 3-2 advantage.

The Storm gained momentum in the third and scored four back-to-back goals to put themselves far in the lead. Nathan Dunkley scored for London 13:13 into the final frame, but Guelph scored once more to keep the Knights with a three-goal deficit. Sahil Panwar added one final goal for London with less than a minute left on the clock, but the Knights weren't able to catch up to the Storm.

The Storm also outshot the Knights 35-31.

The Knights will look to bounce back on Friday when they face off against the Saginaw Spirit at 7:30 p.m.
