What's open, closed on Christmas and Boxing Day

Christmas Day is fast approaching and while some Londoners are looking forward to a little down time, others will still have to report to work.

Below is a list of what is open and closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day in the city.

Christmas closures:

Government offices (federal, provincial, and municipal) Banks Canada Post (no mail delivery) LCBO and Beer Stores London Public Library branches Most retail outlets including White Oaks Mall, Masonville Place, Westmount Shopping Centre, and Cherryhill Village Mall Grocery stores Costco Wholesale Most drug stores (Shoppers Drug Mart locations at 1224 Commissioners Rd.W., 510 Hamilton Rd. and in Sherwood Forest Mall at 1225 Wonderland Rd. N will be open from 9a.m.- 6p.m.)

Movie theatres, select coffee shops and restaurants, and some convenience stores will be open on Christmas Day.

The LTC will run a special holiday schedule on routes 2, 7/11, 15/21 and 20. All other routes will be operating on a Sunday schedule with the exception of routes 29, 90, 91, 102, 106 which will not operate on Christmas Day.

Boxing Day closures:

Government offices (federal, provincial, and municipal) Most banks Canada Post (no mail delivery) London Public Library branches

Open:

White Oaks Mall 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Masonville Mall 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Westmount Shopping Centre 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Select LCBO and Beer Stores Costco Wholesale 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Most drug stores Restaurants and bars Movie theatres The LTC will be operating on a Sunday with the exception of Route 19/31/32. A special holiday schedule will be available with additional frequency on this route for December 26 only. Routes 29, 102 and 106 will not operate on this date.
