One person has been airlifted to hospital following a three-vehicle collision east of Aylmer.
The Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police said on Thursday shortly before 5:30 p.m., a four-door white vehicle traveling north on Springfield Road collided with an eastbound pickup truck at the intersection of Talbot Line. A third, dark-coloured four-door vehicle that was travelling west on Talbot Line was also involved in the crash, but only sustained minor damage.
The driver of the white vehicle was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he remains in critical condition.
The OPP's Technical Collision Investigators have responded to the scene to determined the cause of the crash.
Talbot Line has been closed at Hacienda Road and Walker Road and Springfield Road is closed between Chalet Line and Dingle Line, to allow officers to conduct an investigation.
Police said charges are pending.
