Canada Post backlogs could delay deliveries into March

The rotating strikes at Canada Post are done, but it will be a while before mail delivery returns to normal.

The government legislated an end to the rotating strikes and workers are returning to their jobs, but they have a lot of work to do to get caught up.

"Canada Post is now working to stabilize operations with a manageable approach across the country," Canada Post said in a statement issued Tuesday. "With our network currently facing unprecedented backlogs, customers can continue to expect delivery delays for the next several weeks."

For parcel delivery, you can expect delays into January, while delays for international parcel delivery could stretch into March.

Regular letters should be delivered by Christmas.
